we feel that singapore can depend solely on hydroponics, as it takes up little space and singapore has little space. So we can all see where the name "little red dot" comes from. it isn't hard to guess why singapore can depend on hydroponics, as hydroponics can increase singapore's self suffiency, which means that singapore wouldn't need to depend on other countries for food that can't be found here.
basically, hydroponics is the science of growing plants without the usage of soil. the amount of water used, is lesser compared to the method of traditional farming. it can also grow a variety of plants, compared to soil farming. hydroponics too saves teh nutrients for the next batch of plants. the plants too taste better than that of soil growth farming.
